water magnifier

IMG_5722.jpeg

Can you imagine using one of these to read your monthly bills?  At the time, these were  quite an invention and found in most home offices or solars. We have antiqued for over 30 years and I've never seen one in person. A friend has shown pictures of hers.  We think it's simply because water and wood isn't a good combination.  The water will eventually rot the wood, making these that we've made simply for display.. They take an early desk and make it look even earlier.  Measures approx.: 10 1/4 long X 4"  tall ..  4 available........$125.00

Footed Ale Tumbler

I have always wanted a cage bar...  this is probably as close as I'll get, but I can still fill it full of barware.  These pieces are a bit different then what he generally turns.  I see them as more of an iced tea vessel, but historically, these were filled with ale along with many other  vessel styles.. I love the squatty look of these.   They measure approx.  6" tall X 3 1/4" wide....4 available......... $55 each

Folkart Whale scene

There's a terrible glare on this picture, I hope you can see it alright..  Large whaling ship in the distance and huge whale in the foreground. Housed in an early frame.  I took close-up pic of the corners where there are chips.  The frame is tight and stable.   Early as the frame is, it's not surprising it has these chips.. Measures:  10 3/4" X 9"                      $115.00
